Kawasaki's are a good bike. I rate them around a 9.5 for reliability, about an 8 for fit and finish. I have owned Harleys, Hondas, Yamahas and Suzukis in addition to my current 2 Kawasaki's. I have 75,000 miles on my 1500 Vulcan Drifter (10 years old) and no problems.
Kawasaki puts some nice touches on its bigger cruisers, and has been since the 80's-like self adjusting valves and clutches-so the only real maintenance is oil changes, and brake fluid and coolant changes when required. Most of the other manufactures don't. They also have had on even their smallest street bikes, electrical plug ins located under the seat area and up by the steering stem, in case you have something you want to directly plug into the bikes electrical system.|||6.5|||8..
they are good, but not the best...|||9 they are a good bike on reliability and mileage in general but it would all depend on the model, so my rating is based on product line over all for the last 10 years or so|||Honda and BMW I would call the best.
I would put the rest of the japanese bikes under them but all pretty equil. Everything else under those.|||8 -9
