What type and how many quarts of motor oil goes in my 1995 Kawasaki Ninja ZX750 motorcycle?

I just bought this bike a little over a month ago and it had new oil in it upon purchase, I been riding it all the time the last month and will be changing the oil in it monthly, it is also a higher milage engine so I want to use the best for it. What kind should I get and how much do I need?|||You will have many other questions that arise with ownership of this bike so by all means get at least a Haynes service book. Inside you will find the recommended API grade SL ,SJ, SG and weight 10-40, 20 40 along with the amount required. Information on other services you can perform, when to perform them and how to do it. Much more important than a once a month oil change. If you are serious about caring for your bike you will buy the book first!|||Read the owner's manual,.... if you don't have one, get one. Also, take the time to obtain a factory service manual. Its worth every freakin nickel.

Couldn't tell ya on the oil quantity; one call to the Kaw shop will fix that. The oil that you use is VERY important; use what was in it before if you can ascertain that. -If you cannot, then by all means, DO NOT USE AUTOMOTIVE OIL... it has friction modifiers that will ruin your clutch. You can get Mobil 1 4cycle oil at wal mart. I use Lucas full syn 20w50 m/c oil from O'Reilley's. Some guys use the Royal Purple 20w50 m/c oil and it also performs well. If you can afford it, some guys consider Amsoil and Red Line top of the line, and both are definitely top shelf all the way.

-Also, get your filter from Kawasaki or a reputable maker. K%26amp;N is top shelf, so is Wix.
