Why does the engine of my Kawasaki motorcycle not start?

I've pulled the choke, I've pulled the clutch all the way down, I've set it to Run, and I pressed Start, IT WONT WORK...

I hear a clicking noise and then after I do a few times it just stops and wont start anymore...

Does anyone know whats wrong?|||Sounds like the battery is dead. Try jump starting it.|||It sounds like your battery is low. Charge it up and give it a try. Allways look for the simple things first.|||well i had one and i put it on run instead of choke (u may not have run but..)and mine worked|||Is your battery strong enough? Test that first. If it clicks and then stops clicking it sounds like the battery. It sounds like it dies after you try to start it. Jump start it on a hill or have someone push you or have the battery checked out.|||I had the same problem last year. Your battery is dead. Part of your spring bike maintance is to change your battery.

Guido|||After you check the battery, try checking the starter solinoid aswell as the connections.|||put it in 3rd and push in the clutch and go down a big hill and when you are going about 15 mph release the clutch and pull it back in real quick and it should start
