Kawasaki motorcycles... A few questions?

I've been looking into getting another motorcycle and leaning towards a mid sized Kawazaki sports bike. Either a Ninja 500, Ninja 650, or a ZX6r. I've looked at reviews online and such, but I'm mainly a little fuzzy on the differences between the 650 and the ZX6r. Anything you know or a websitewould help. Also anything that might help me to sway my Mom into getting this over something like a Honda shadow 750. Thanks for everything.|||The Ninja 500 and 650 are standards--general-purpose motorcycles. They are good for commuting, long weekend rides, long trips across the state, visiting your aunt out in the country, running down to the 7/11 for a coffee.

The ZX6 is a single-purpose sportbike. It sacrifices everything to speed and handling. It's basically a racing bike with a license plate. It's real specialty is track days. I think it's misleading of Kawasaki to call it a 'Ninja' because all the other Ninja models are standards.

The dedicated sportbike market is a big share of the motorcycle market. All the Japanese mfgrs make one--Honda CBR, Suzuki GSX-R, Yamaha R1 and R6, Kawasaki ZX. And they compete strongly, they upgrade them every year or two to add another 5 hp and shave off another 10 lb. They come in 600 and 1000cc because those are standard racing classes.

The difference is that the ZX has a small, hard seat, because you get some road feedback through where you sit down. It has a more extreme riding position. It has a high performance engine with a narrow powerband so you have to keep it revved up close to the redline to get the power out of it. It has very sensitive steering geometry, almost 'twitchy'. These bikes really are marvels of engineering, especially for the price. But they're not for everyone.

But as I like to say, we are all looking for something different in our motorcycling experience. 8^) It depends on what kind of riding you plan to do.|||ninja 650 is a regular sports bike, zx6r is a supersports bike, aka a bike that is designed for track use, but can be ridden in the streets, the ninja 650 is alot more street friendly.|||ZX series = Racing Bikes (Street legal is different than street friendly, big difference)

Ninja series= Street Friendly Bikes

So, track or comfort? What's your fetish?
